Tell your Representative: Vote to fund the UN/AU Peacekeeping force in Darfur (UNAMID) On Wednesday, April 16, the House Appropriations Committee will determine the level of U.S. funding for peacekeeping and other assistance for Darfur. Please take two minutes to call your representative today and push for full funding for peacekeeping and humanitarian aid in Darfur. Just follow the steps below: Dial 202-224-3121 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and ask to be connected to your representative's office. Tell the staff person answering the phone that you're calling to urge your representative to support crucial funding for Darfur in the 2008 supplemental funding bill. This funding will protect and feed millions of men, women, and children in Darfur.Go to www.savedarfur.org/action to report your call back to the Save Darfur Coalition. 2.Ask Olympic Corporate Sponsors to engage with China on Darfur The upcoming Beijing Olympics provide a unique leverage point to get China more involved with Sudan. Ask Olympic Corporate sponsors to make Darfur a priority in the lead-up to the 2008 Olympic Games.
