Is The Devil Came on Horseback coming to a theater near me?
The US theatrical release of The Devil Came on Horseback will be concluding in November, after touring approximately 70 cities across nearly 40 states. The film will continue playing at film festivals and non-theatrical venues worldwide. Please check our Screenings page to find a screening in your area or click here to request a screening!

When is the film coming out on DVD?
The DVD is now available! Click here to purchase the DVD and 10% of your purchase will be donated to our fund to support Global Grassroots’ work with women genocide survivors, including Darfur refugees. Don’t want to buy the DVD? Now available at Netflix.

Can my organization become a film affiliate and sell the DVD on our website?

Can I host a screening for my organization?
When you purchase the DVD or rent the film through Netflix, you may view the film only in your home or for personal use. However, if your school, church, synagogue, or advocacy group wishes to host a community screening of the film for awareness or fundraising purposes, you can now license The Devil Came on Horseback for these events for a small fee. This “non-theatrical” license also entitles you access to our range of educational materials including discussion guides, organizing materials, poster artwork and complementary Action Cards to hand out at your screening. Additionally, the licensing fee contributes towards a fund for work on the ground with Darfur refugees. Please click to request a community screening. Can I use the film as a fundraiser for my organization or another organization that helps Darfur?
Yes! When you license the film for a community screening, we allow the film to be used for joint-fundraising purposes, whereby contributions are shared jointly with the film for our continued educational outreach programs and for our fund supporting Global Grassroots’ work with women genocide survivors. Is there a screening fee to show the film?
We do request a screening fee which varies with the nature of the event, audience size and film format, but in the US it is usually US $300 for audiences of up to 300. This fee supports the further release of the film, our educational and advocacy campaign for Darfur and for our fund supporting Global Grassroots’ work with women genocide survivors

How can my university become part of the mtvU social-issue university film tour of The Devil Came on Horseback?

What is a Film Supporter and how can I become one?
This film has been supported almost entirely by the charitable contributions of individuals and organizations that care deeply about the people of Darfur. Film Supporters also work with us as partners in our advocacy campaigns, have helped promote the theatrical release or have agreed to host a screening of The Devil Came on Horseback. You or your organization can become a Film Supporter by licensing the film for a community screening, donating to our educational programs or becoming a program affiliate. You can also support the film by joining the Facebook group or becoming a Friend of the Film on MySpace.
